Eyebrow Waxing & Shaping in Exeter

Wax clears the area around the brow in one clean pass, and the detail is finished by hand. It is the quickest way to take a grown-out brow back to a deliberate shape.

Current price and appointment length are shown on Booksy.

What brow wax is

Warm wax is applied below and above the brow line to remove the hair growing outside the agreed shape, then lifted away in a single movement. Anything the wax should not take — strays inside the shape, hairs that define the arch — is finished with tweezers.

It is the fastest of the brow shaping options and it leaves a very crisp outline. Where wax is not suitable for your skin, threading achieves the same shape by a different route.

Who it suits

  • Brows that have grown out and need resetting
  • Anyone who wants a sharp, clean outline quickly
  • Regular upkeep between fuller brow appointments
  • Denser brow hair, where wax clears an area efficiently

  1. 01

    Shape agreed

The shape is discussed and mapped before any wax is applied.

Wax is applied and removed in sections. It is over quickly and the area is soothed immediately afterwards.

Afterwards

Aftercare

General guidance only — your therapist will give you aftercare specific to your skin and your treatment on the day.

  • Expect redness for a short period after waxing
  • Avoid heat, saunas, sunbeds and swimming for 24 hours
  • Leave make-up off the area for a few hours where possible
  • No exfoliating or acids over the brow for 24 hours

Eyebrow Shape & Wax — your questions

Waxing or threading — which should I choose?

Waxing is faster and clears an area very cleanly. Threading is more precise, hair by hair, and puts nothing on the skin. If your skin is sensitive or you use retinoids or acids, threading is usually the better choice — and your therapist will say so.

Can I wax if I use retinol or acids?

Often not, as those products affect how the skin responds to wax. Tell your therapist what you are using and they will advise — threading is usually the alternative.

Will my skin be red afterwards?

Some redness immediately afterwards is normal and it settles quickly. The area is soothed before you leave.
