What brow wax is
Warm wax is applied below and above the brow line to remove the hair growing outside the agreed shape, then lifted away in a single movement. Anything the wax should not take — strays inside the shape, hairs that define the arch — is finished with tweezers.
It is the fastest of the brow shaping options and it leaves a very crisp outline. Wax is not right for every skin, though — if you are using retinoids or acids, or your skin reacts badly to wax, say so when you book and your therapist will tell you honestly whether to go ahead.

The shape is discussed and mapped before any wax is applied.

Wax
Wax is applied and removed in sections. It is over quickly and the area is soothed immediately afterwards.

Tweeze and finish
Remaining strays are removed by hand and the brow is checked for symmetry.

General guidance only — your therapist will give you aftercare specific to your skin and your treatment on the day.
- Expect redness for a short period after waxing
- Avoid heat, saunas, sunbeds and swimming for 24 hours
- Leave make-up off the area for a few hours where possible
- No exfoliating or acids over the brow for 24 hours

How is this different from just plucking them myself?
Wax clears the whole area outside the agreed shape in one pass, so the outline is even on both sides rather than drifting the way it does when you tidy them yourself over weeks. The shape is mapped before anything is removed, and the detail is finished by hand.
Can I wax if I use retinol or acids?
Often not, as those products affect how the skin responds to wax and can make it lift. Tell your therapist exactly what you are using and when you last used it, and they will advise whether to go ahead or wait.
Will my skin be red afterwards?
Some redness immediately afterwards is normal and it settles quickly. The area is soothed before you leave.
